Overview

This MacBook had a shattered screen, a dead battery, and a corrupt hard drive. After replacing the screen and battery, upgrading the hard drive to an SSD, and installing the latest Kali Linux kernel, I had a separate laptop dedicated to practicing ethical hacking.

The rebuild

  1. Replace the shattered screen.
  2. Swap in a new battery.
  3. Upgrade the corrupt hard drive to an SSD.
  4. Install the latest Kali Linux kernel.
